Hey US!
As you know from Rob's email, I am currently out of town, but I wanted to
make sure that I got the email sent for a few things coming up.
Today is the Christian music day at the State fair. Make sure to contact
Erin Smith with any questions on that. Her email is echo_valley7 at yahoo.com.
Sunday, being the second one of the month, will be our regular lunch after
second service. Plan to meet in the back of the sanctuary at the end of
service to head to lunch together. I will definitely be back in town for
that.
Indiana Beach!
Jeff is getting the Indiana Beach trip rolling for next Friday, August
18th. Mark your calendars now for a great evening! Contact Jeff with any
questions (synesaej at purdue.edu).
Upcoming...
The leadership group met on Sunday afternoon to line up events for the fall
(and into January). Look for a new brochure coming soon with all of that
info. To kick things off, we'll be starting with a picnic at Cumberland
Park after church on Sunday, August 27th. Fun, food, fellowship, and
frivolity (games didn't start with an 'f'). More details of this will be
forthcoming. Once I'm back on my other computer, I'll send out the rest of
the schedule.
Birthdays
>From our magical list, here are the birthdays for August. If you're not
listed, that means you haven't sent in your birthday to Erin Smith (
echo_valley7 at yahoo.com).
Ryan Burnette and SooAnn Fox on Aug. 4,
Lora DeMaar and Ben Wolfe on Aug. 5
Jennifer McDonald on Aug. 6
Erin Smith on Aug. 30
Prayer Requests
To fill you in on some details, my Grandpa Sam lost his battle with
progressive supranuclear palsy on Monday, and is now home with the Lord.
Please do keep my family in your prayers. We have the visitation today, and
then the funeral tomorrow (I probably won't be on email again until
Saturday).
Erin Smith lost her grandfather last week. Calling was this past Sunday,
and the service was on Monday. Please keep the Smith family in your
prayers.
If anyone else has a prayer request they would like sent out, please let me
know, or post it to the list yourself as well. This is a fellowship that
definitely is able to pray for each other, and has done so a great deal in
the past. Don't hesitate.
That's all for this email installment. I look forward to seeing you all
soon.
In His grip,
Adam
