[US10:25] Weekend Plans

Hey US!

There has been talk of several things going on for this weekend, so here's a
brief recap of what I know at press time.

Indiana Jones Movie Night - This Friday a group of us will be going to see
the new Indiana Jones movie at Wabash Landing 9 at 9:25 p.m.  I'll be going
to pick up tickets ahead of time on Friday (over lunch) so please let me
know by the end of the day on Thursday if you want me to get tickets for you
(then you can pay me back that night).  We will meet at the theater lobby by
9:00 p.m.

Sunday Lunch - This being the 4th Sunday of the month, we are scheduled to
have lunch.  However, since it's memorial day weekend, we're going to turn
it into a cookout.  We'll be grilling at my house on Sunday beginning at
1:00 p.m.  This will be a BYOM party (Bring Your Own Meat).  I'll fire up
the grills, and we will have baked potatoes going.  I'll also have cups,
plates, etc.  Other than that, you all are providing the rest.  If you want
to coordinate on that, it would be great.  We do have a few burgers left
from the retreat, so we will cook those.  When you bring your meat of
choice, please try to have some to share.  Remember, the address is 137

Bible Study - We resume Bible study this Sunday night, with the topic being
spiritual gifts.  See you at the church at 7:30 p.m. for that in the
Gathering Place (with the couches).

As Covenant nears its congregational vote concerning denominational
affiliation, please lift up the session, staff, and the whole congregation
in prayer.  God is in the middle of this, and we pray that everyone will
seek Him first.  If you have specific questions about the voting process,
please don't hesitate to email me, and I will make sure to put you in touch
with those who are close to it if I can't answer your questions myself.
